Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Pharmacist Intern for their Haasendal store. The purpose of this Internship is to equip learners to understand the underlying principles of all of the major areas related to the pharmaceutical environment and promoting the notion of quality lifelong learning.The provision of pharmaceutical care by taking responsibility for the patients medicine related needs and being accountable for meeting these needs.To provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients at dispensary, self-medication counter, and front shop
• Follow up on patients' script tracking reports
• Explain medical aid costs and differences to patients
• Process paperwork for medical aid claims submission
• Correct errors on rejected medical aid scripts
• Authorize chronic, HIV, AIDS, and oncology medications
• Maintain accurate customer profiles
• Handle stock and asset control, including reporting low or out-of-stock items
• Assist with scheduled stock takes
• Maintain housekeeping and adhere to company standards, policies, and health/safety regulations

Qualifications

• Grade 12/Matric
• BPharm - 4 year
• Computer literate – MS Office
